  1. Beautiful sculpture! I prefer to call the pieces sculptures not dolls because Billy sculpts them all by hand. They're too unique to be viewed as toys :-).

  2. Hi, BillyBoy* does not sculpt them by hand-himself. They are sculptures and have always been referred to as such, but they are made in his atelier by a team of people including his son and Lala, who both work on them by hand, but BillyBoy* only did the original sculpts which are moulded.BB* draped and makes the patterns for the clothes....and art directs many of the details.

  3. Ohhhhhh, I see. His business is a family business. That's good, because then it can be passed down from generation to generation. I hope Mdvanii will never go out of style.

  4. Mdvanii is only partially a "business"...she is a work of art known mostly in the contemporray art field, with museum shows and exhibitions. The atelier is where they are created and they also get sold, to all types of collectors, art collectors, doll collectors and people who just appreciate her. Mdvanii is not a design object which can go out of style, she is a work of art.....

  5. Excellent! I appreciate the high quality of the Mdvanii collection for the concept of Mdvanii is a type of sculpture that hasn't been made before. Fashion and art has manifested into something new that the world loves! What I like is the use of couture garments. The Barbie collection relies on faux fashion so it's not the ideal role model for children. I wish all girls owned a Mdvanii sculpture because there's a true character and refinement that comes with Mdvanii. You can't find that in America :-). Will BillyBoy ever come to America to do an exhibition for the Mdvanii collection?
